Post House Garden Holiday Cottages lie at the heart of the tiny hamlet of Cwmbach in Carmarthenshire and are an ideal base for exploring South West Wales. The Pembrokeshire coastline is within easy reach by car and there you will find some beautiful attractions and some of the best kept secrets in the UK!
The property consists of the owners' residence and two self-catering holiday cottages, set alongside a five acre woodland garden. Cwmbach means "small valley" and this sums up the setting perfectly! Lying on the River Sien, once the site of a water powered corn mill, in recent decades the buildings have served as a village store, a petrol station and a post office, and have always been at the heart of the local community.
The two holiday cottages have been refurbished to a high standard and today offer cosy and welcoming accommodation for couples or family groups seeking the perfect rural retreat, a place to relax and unwind.
The peaceful valley offers real tranquillity and a complete break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, yet the cottage location (only six miles from the A40 and central between north and south coastlines) gives easy access to the unspoilt rolling countryside, historical attractions and beautiful beaches of Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion and The Gower Peninsula.
We hope you enjoy browsing our web site. Should you decide to come and visit, you can be assured of a warm welcome.
Our games room has a free-to-play pool table, darts board and selection of board games. Local maps, guide books and tourist information leaflets are also available to browse.
There is a washing machine for guests to use for general clothes washing, plus a sink for rinsing outdoor equipment or clothing.
Items left in the drying room can be ready for use again the next day (includes doggy towels, hiking gear, wet suits, etc!)
Dogs Are Welcome
Milo (our labradoodle) loves running on the sandy beaches and playing in the rock pools of the West Wales coastline. He will be happy tell any four-legged visitors all about his favourite places to visit.
Your dog deserves pampering while on holiday too!
Guests are welcome to borrow Milo's doggy shower upon request.
We have plenty of extra "doggy towels" and we're happy to provide these too.
Electric vehicles are becoming ever more popular and there's no better way to explore West Wales. We're keen to promote low carbon tourism, so each holiday cottage has its own dedicated EV charging point; no need to spend time looking for public chargers!
